About Families Anonymous
Families Anonymous (FA) is for anyone whose life has been adversely affected by another person's use of drugs, alcohol, or related behavioral problems is welcome.
FA is a Twelve-Step fellowship for relatives and friends who have faced up to the reality that the problems of someone close to us is seriously affecting our lives and our ability to function normally.
"But I'm not the one who needs help!" … Every one of us has made this statement at one time or another. It was obvious that someone else was the one with problems. Many of us were annoyed or shocked that the other person seemed to refuse help, maybe even resented our efforts to help.
Families Anonymous is dedicated to doing something constructive about our approach to someone else's problem. We learn from our own experience, but we can also get a great deal of benefit from the shared experience of others what seems to work and what doesn’t.
It's phone numbers to call - anytime.
It's new friends who help. They can help your situation just as others have helped theirs.
It's friends who won't be shocked at your problems... friends who want to help you start feeling good about yourself again.
In short, Families Anonymous is people like you --- helping people like you.
